Andøy Ecotouristcenter are located in Bjørnskinn on Andøya, the most northern island in Nordland county, in Norway.
 On the farm Nordjorda in this small village, we have our base. The history of our farm is possible to trace back until about 1730, those days the land was owned by the church. The farmers had to rent the ground, but in 1856 the church sold this farm to the then hirer. In the year 1912 my grandfather resign as a mate from the sea, and bought Nordjorda from his aunt and her husband. My forfathers lived like farmers,fishermen and sailors. In all theese years we have been using the local territory for recreation and work.We did not only know the histoy, we are a part of it. This unique native experience we want to share with our guests. We offer kayak trips, a wide range of hiking trails and various possibillities of biking. During our trips we want the participants to learn something about the local history, the local community and environment. By experience from previous guests, we feel quite certain that our local knowlegde, and the way we communicate it, turn out to be appreciated. Because of our favourable position at the foot of the Bjørnskinn mountain and still quite close to the sea. We are able to carry through our activities, with a minimum need of motorized transport. It is possible to reach us by using public means of communication. See more on map/info page. We honour guests coming that way, by giving a discount of 15 per cent on our prices.
